So great! We used this last night at softball game for my 8 year old daughter. She stayed connected the entire time, with her phone in the back. She is Type 1 and uses G7. We put her phone in the pouch. I asked her if it bounced around or bothered her and she said no. She enjoyed wearing it and the freedom of not getting disconnected. I was able to move freely around the park without having to stay close to the side of the field she was on. This is perfect. We are also in Texas where it is hot, and she said it did not make her hot or bother her. I can see us using this at sports but even if we are somewhere where we want to be handsfree and connected. Great job CGM athletics!
This vest has been such a gift for our family. Our son is nonspeaking, autistic, and also lives with Type 1 Diabetes, so keeping his CGM and pump safe and secure isn’t just convenient — it’s critical. He also has significant sensory issues, and we were worried he might not tolerate something new. But he has had no trouble with this vest at all — he willingly puts it on and keeps it on during soccer, at the park, and throughout his day. That alone is huge for us.
Before finding this vest, we constantly worried about losing connection to his devices. Now, he’s comfortable, his equipment stays in place, and we have so much more peace of mind.
I also love that this vest could help more than just T1D families. For children who elope, it offers a safe way to hold wearable GPS trackers or other monitoring devices. That kind of security is priceless for parents like us.
